School attendance is a critical component to student success. Parents/guardians are essential to ensuring children regularly attend school, especially in the early years. Research shows that missing only 10% of school (as few as 2 days a month) can result in students who are less likely to read on grade level or even graduate high school. The Osage Community School believes strongly in attending school daily. While unforeseen circumstances such as illness may occur, the Osage Community Schools adheres to Board Policy (500 Series) reflecting student attendance. Students and families may refer to this or the more detailed information found in their respective building's student handbook.
